Envision New Castle Wins 2025 Planning Achievement Award

We’re excited to share that Envision New Castle has received a 2025 Planning Achievement Award from the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation. This recognition celebrates a collaborative community visioning initiative developed with the Town of New Castle and Pace University’s Land Use Law Center.

In spring 2024, the Town launched Envision New Castle to engage residents in shaping the future of 23 acres of Town-owned land surrounding the Chappaqua Train Station. The process focused on inclusive, community-wide outreach designed to capture a broad range of ideas, voices, and priorities.

The award acknowledges both the outcomes of the project and the thoughtful, inclusive process behind it, one rooted in transparency, creativity, and meaningful community engagement. Thank you to the residents who showed up, shared their perspectives, and helped shape what’s next.
