155 Greenwood

 

155 Greenwood realizes Phase 1 of a mixed-use infill project envisioned by Bethel CT’s “Bethel Forward.” The project defines a new 'Skinny Street' linking the prime business/pedestrian Greenwood Ave corridor to School Street, Bethel Government Center and surrounding business/retail community pockets. The new Skinny Street/Pedestrian Alley is lined with first floor businesses with two stories of residential above.

The infill project reintroduces centralized, medium density housing for a missing market segment in the towns Transportation Oriented District. The project also provided a missing small retail footprint/high exposure market bandwidth which was immediately filled energizing a segment of Bethel's community fabric previously dominated by large parking lots.

Phase 2 envisions a mirror streetscape project across the alley. Nexus Creative extended the 155 Greenwood Ave comprehensive design 'Skinny Street' master plan to include exploring a fully realized corridor.

The second parcel master plan is in the process of encouraging adjacent property owner Wells Fargo Bank to pursue the next phase.
